How do I know my brakes need bleeding?
Typical signs: soft or spongy bite point, missing braking power despite full lever travel, the lever can be pulled to the bar.
How long does a brake repair take?
Simple brake adjustments take 15 to 30 minutes. A hydraulic bleed takes 30 to 60 minutes. Most brake work is finished the same day.
Which brake systems do you repair?
Shimano, SRAM, Magura, Tektro, Avid, Hayes. Rim brakes and hydraulic as well as mechanical disc brakes.
What does brake service cost in Berlin?
Brake adjustment from €10 per brake, brake pad replacement from €15 per pair (material included), rotor replacement incl. new rotor from €40 (installation only when you bring your own rotor from €25), hydraulic bleed from €35. Fixed prices after diagnosis at BikeShop Friesen in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Can I keep riding with worn brakes?
We strongly advise against it. Worn pads reduce braking power significantly and can become a real danger in the wet. Fully worn pads can also permanently damage the rotor or rim.
