Do chain and cassette always need to be replaced together?
Not always, but often recommended. If the chain has been ridden too long, it wears down the cassette as well. We measure both and honestly recommend only what is really needed.
What does a chain replacement cost in Berlin?
Chain replacement incl. new chain from €45. Chain and cassette together from €70, depending on model and material. Fixed price after diagnosis, no hidden costs.
How often should I lubricate my bike chain?
Every 150 to 300 kilometres or after every rainy ride. Use dedicated chain grease or chain oil — no WD-40, it does not provide lasting lubrication.
How do I know when the chain needs replacing?
The safest way is with a chain wear gauge. Signs include skipping gears, elongation above 0.75 % and degraded shifting performance. We measure wear for free when you drop the bike off.
